The project named The Studios is a revamp of two existing buildings and the space between them. Designed by architect Asher Marcus founder of Hubo Studio, the two new spaces at King David School in Johannesburg, embrace an educational philosophy that sees architecture as an active element in the learning process.

The aim was not only to transform the existing buildings, but also to create a learning and working environment. The school looks like a doll’s house, with large windows that provide a beautiful view of what is happening outside.

More than 1000 square meters of Tarkett’s Linoleum collection was installed (Linoleum Originale Essenza, Linoleum Style Emme, Linoleum Veneto). Asher Marcus chose Tarkett because its products are sustainable, durable and recyclable, as well as colourful and aesthetic.

“Architects specializing in educational spaces have a profound grasp of how the school environment shapes learning. We believe that the best products, vibrant colours, soft textures and sustainable features all enhance an interior space and learning experience. “ Vrushali Shah, architect from Hubo Studio.
