Good Raw Materials Tarkett’s Linoleum range is made with a 95 % average of natural raw materials (linseed oil, pine rosin, cork flour, wood flour, limestone and jute) of which an average of 77 % is renewable.

Resource Stewardship Our Linoleum range is produced in Narni, Italy. The factory applies an environmental management system (ISO 14001). Over the last three years, our Narni factory has made numerous improvements: 50% reduction of waste level 32 % reduction in water consumption (introduction of closed loop). 3 % reduction in energy consumption. 60% increase in recycled material As for all Tarkett sites, the Narni site is assessed from an environmental point of view by an external auditor every two years. No risks were identified in the Narni site during 2009. We use Life Cycle Analysis as a basis for new product development to reduce the product’s impact on the environment.

Reuse and Recycle In our closed loop production we are able to optimize the consumption of raw materials using 10% average of re-processed linoleum powder to decrease the disposed material. According to EN 14021 our product is composed by 30% average of pre-consumer recycled material.
