Tarkett has released new functionalities on the Room Designer, an innovative new web application that allows customers to quickly visualise and digitally experience various flooring options in existing spaces. Using Room Designer, architects, designers and their end customers can easily project themselves into the final space and ensure the rendering will meet their expectations.

Room Designer offers a wide selection of Tarkett products to choose from, from carpet tiles to vinyl products. New functionalities include the fact users can now simply upload an image to the application, which then uses artificial intelligence to map the floor layout and apply their selected flooring products. They can even manipulate the orientation of flooring textures and generate two selections for comparison. Also, the whole graphic interface has been refreshed to make the user experience optimal.

Once satisfied, the final visual can be downloaded as a high-resolution image or PDF. Those wishing to take their renders even further also have the option to download the 3D textures as a CAD file to use in design programs.

Room Designer is accessible via desktop and mobile.
