Reimagining Office Environments with Colour & Sustainability

A series of office transformations across Den Bosch, Leeuwarden, and Rotterdam showcase the dynamic impact of the DESSO x Rens carpet tile collection. Designed in collaboration with Studio Rens, this collection helps us extending the life span of obsolete or rejected DESSO carpet tiles with an inventive dyeing method, recolouring one half of the tiles red. 

Aesthetic & Functional Innovation

Each office space benefits from the distinctive colour blocking and layered tonal shifts of DESSO x Rens, creating a visually stimulating yet cohesive design language.

A New Take on Re-use

Tarkett embraces the shared responsibility of making the most of materials and adding value to products that would otherwise be discarded. Rather than letting materials go to waste, DESSO x Rens explores how we can extend the life of obsolete carpet tiles. The designers’ imaginative approach and hand-made process of applying colour led to the valuable insights needed to reuse and revalue carpet tiles. 

At the end of their long life, these carpets can be returned through Tarkett’s ReStart® take-back and recycling programme, ensuring that materials are recovered, broken down, and reused for the next life cycle of products.
