Circular construction with a system: ReStart® by Tarkett

After a water damage incident followed by a fire, the response was not only swift but also sustainable:

250 m² of damaged flooring were returned through Tarkett ReStart®, separated, processed, and fed back into closed loop recycling. Even the new installation offcuts were collected and reintroduced into the production cycle.

This approach saves CO₂, reduces disposal costs — and makes an active contribution to the EU’s goal of recycling 70% of construction waste by 2030.

Why Tarkett linoleum is ideal for educational buildings:

  • 2.5 mm thick, extremely durable & easy to clean
  • Cradle to Cradle Silver, Blue Angel, Austrian Ecolabel
  • Usage classes 23 | 34 | 43 – from residential to industrial applications
  • Recyclable – even after decades of use
  • xf² surface treatment: reduced maintenance, lower operating costs
  • Design variety: classic marble patterns, vibrant colours

We create a healthy learning environment – and Tarkett is our reliable partner for that.
– Gabriele Zlotos, Managing Director, Wolfgang Opitz GmbH
